Project SEWA: Dial 108 Punjab in news

Dial 108 in Punjab since launch in April 2011 has been receiving generous media coverage in regional newspaper for its efforts made to save human lives.

Yale University students visited ZHL

ZHL had visitors - Eric , Angela & Shabdha from Yale University, USA wanted to write a case study on the operations and business aspect of Ziqitza Health Care Limited.

These students not only visited various regional offices of ZHL to understand the operations of Dial 108 and Dial 1298. They also volunteered for health camp to get hands on experience.

Their enthusiasm and efforts were hugely appreciated and liked by everyone.

'No Tobacco Day' Campaign @ 108 Rajasthan

Dial '108' in Emergency, Rajasthan (Kota) on account of 'No Tobacco Day'- 31st May organized a signature campaign for people who wanted to quit smoking. A road show on the same with the key message of 'cancer ko bhagana hai, tambaku nahin khana hai' was organized in collaboration with Shine India Foundation and Advance Dental Clinic.

Over 2000 people actively participated in the road show wherein they underwent counseling by the doctors on ill effects of cancer. This campaign received live coverage from 92.7 BIG FM - leading radio channel in Rajasthan.

Dial 108 , Punjab creating visibility at ground level

Project SEWA: Punjab organized various demo and awareness rallies in the month of May where over thousands of people comprising of general masses, doctors, school students and professors were educated on the importance of Emergency Medical Response Service and the services offered by 108. This initiative received support from traffic, fire department and highway police.

About Ziqitza Health Care Limited

Ziqitza Health Care Limited (ZHL), is set up by a group of young professionals who, after their education / training in the US and professional employment / entrepreneurial projects in India, realized the acute need for organized and networked Ambulance service in India for saving lives which may otherwise have been lost ONLY for want of timely medical attention. Ziqitza health care operates the Emergency Medical Response (Ambulance) Services under two models Dial '1298' for Ambulance (Popularly called 1298 model) – Fee for Service model with cross subsidy, where the rich and affordable pays higher and the poor pays less, and for very poor/accidents/emergencies the service is free of cost. Currently this service is operational in the city of Mumbai and the state of Kerala. Dial '108' in Emergency (Popularly called 108 model) – This model is usually in public private partnership with State Governments, this could be either free to patient or on a user fee, as per the contract with State Governments. The service is provided to Emergency victims. This model is operational in Bihar, Trivandrum, Rajasthan and Punjab.
