In Amritsar, on August 31, at about 9 p.m, we called for an ambulance 108 service to 91, Pawan Nagar, as my mother Leela wanti had severe ache in the chest. The ambulance came promptly and took my mother to the hospital. In the ambulance, a monitor was attached to my mother through her finger but she was not put on oxygen. Maybe there was no oxygen in the ambulance or the attendant did not know where it was. He said that he was new and did not know where the oxygen was.
This was a severe blow and must have hurt my mother's chances of surviving.
She had a massive heart attack a few minutes later and passed away in the hospital (Muni Lal chopra hospital, Mall road, Amritsar).
My question is do you ensure that the ambulances are equipped to handle emergencies or just taxis to ferry people?
You owe me an explanation.
thanks.
